On behalf of the City of St. Louis we preserved over 1.3 million square feet of national historic buildings in a central business district in the heart of the central area…next to Busch Stadium, Ralston Purina corporate offices and the new Federal Court House. By establishing a Tax Increment Financing overlay and Master Plan, the City and future occupants had the incentives and the master plan which could organize development. Skidmore Owings and Merrill and HOK contributed valuable technical expertise in the review of viability of both the individual buildings as well as the actual municipal infrastructure.
